Walt Disney World 2006
We actually lucked into this trip thanks to our good friends the Seilers. This was not only the boys first Disney trip, but it was their first airplane ride and first time out of Texas. Lots of fun and firsts rolled into one.
The flight wasn't bad, but we were prepared for the altitude issues. That made a world of difference between a happy baby and that crabby baby that won't stop crying. We took the Magical Express bus from the hotel to the resort, that's a great service. Coby had just turned one, so much of his travel was on my lap. He was very easy to handle. We stayed at the Disney resort Saratoga Springs, which was super nice. There was plenty of room for everyone. The first night there we went to Downtown Disney and explored. |
Epcot Center One of our first stops was EPCOT. We were totally unprepared for our visit and spent much of the time chasing kids or trying to figure out where we were. But, we did not let that discourage us and prevent us from having a great time. DisneyWorld can be overwhelming if you let it and we did. Epcot is a huge, huge place. You can literally spend several days walking around and seeing and experiencing different cultures from all over the world. We experienced all of the rides including the iconic Spaceship Earth, which is "The Big Ball" and the not so iconic, Ellen's Universe of Energy. The hit of the day was definitely Test Track which satisfied the educational and the thrilling. We had dinner at the Biergarten and enjoyed some authentic German cuisine and entertainment. The German ladies that worked there went crazy for my little blonde haired, blue eyed German boys. |
